Casas Still Rolling, Drops Almost 3 Seconds Off 200 Back PR

She was 2:08.46 in the 200 breast, and 1:54.65 in the 200 back, just off of her best in the latter.
The top swimmer in the 200 back was former Aggie Lisa Bratton , who was 1:50.35, just a half-second off of her lifetime best.
Breaking up the Aggie party was Haylee Knight of LSU in the 100 free.
That’s a pretty monumental swim for Knight, a senior whose best was a 48.89 from 2018 SECs.
This morning was no different in the 200 back, where he posted a 1:42.33, nearly three full seconds clear of his old best.
Whatever’s in the water in College Station has been working for Casas, who is quickly developing into an incredibly versatile sprint weapon for the Aggies.
The Aggies had top times in every event this morning.
Mike Thibert followed at 43.22, then it was Clayton Bobo in a PR 43.47, and finally Mark Theall at 43.92.
In the 200 fly, Angel Martinez was 1:43.24, going two seconds faster than the next-best swimmer.

On departure from Shepparton, there was scattered cloud at 2500 ft with a ceiling of approximately 4000 ft. Visibility was about eight km, with occasional rain showers.

Shaine Casas‘ third swim of the night was a monster: a 45.99 in the 100 back that would have ranked 3rd nationally prior to this weekend. Casas was just 47.12 coming out of high school, broke 47 for the first time in prelims and then broke…
