On Sunday, while VHP will hold a Dharm Sansad, billed as the largest congregation of saints and seers in Ayodhya since 1992, Shiv Sena chief will do a darshan of Ram Lalla after conducting a Saryu aarti and puja of saints on Saturday.
Both Shiv Sena and VHP are going ahead with massive preparations, with political observers claiming that they vying for credit in mobilising support for the temple, with Lok Sabha elections of 2019 just a few months away.
The Shiv Sena had given a call five months ago for holding its programme in November.
As the
Shiv Sena finalised its programme
+ in Ayodhya for November 24-25, where Thackrey would be present, the RSS and VHP hurriedly declared its programme for November 25.
In view of the growing differences between the BJP and Shiv Sena, observers say BJP would not want Shiv Sena to hijack the show and take credit for mobilising people.
Thackrey’s programme will include an “ashirwad samaroh” and then joining the “Saryu aarti” on the banks of Saryu and a visit to Ram Lalla site, following which he will address the media.
Along with Thackrey, ministers, MLAs and party workers are also reaching Ayodhya.
