Neymar’s Father Reveals Where He Wants Barcelona Star to Finish CareerYahoo Sports #That_NeymarDecember 5, 2018
A Brazilian journalist has claimed that Neymar’s father wants the Barcelona superstar to finish his career at Rio de Janeiro-based team Flamengo, telling a TV programme on Fox Sports in Brazil that Neymar Sr. had told him of his wishes during a previous interview.
Speaking on Boa Noite Fox , Mauro Beting said that the 24-year-old Ballon d’Or nominee’s father wants him to finish his career back in his homeland – but not at Santos, the club where he began.
He said: “Neymar’s father told me during an interview to Playboy player, his dream is that Neymar finish his career at Flamengo.
The exchange was given a little extra spice by the president of Flamengo, Eduardo Bandeira de Mello, also being present on the show – telling Beting that the Brazil star’s father had ‘good taste’ and said that he would consider a move some way down the line.
“I guarantee that Neymar’s father has very good taste,” he smiled.
“It is best for the career of his son.
Who knows if we can not make that possible later.”
Neymar is currently gearing up to star for his country in the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, with the football tournament set to kick off on 4 August as Brazil look to finally claim the only FIFA-organised international tournament to have eluded them throughout their illustrious history.
