Email @gmail.com Is No longer Verified By Google #Said_OnJanuary 13, 2019
Webmasters who log into Google Webmaster Tools might notice a new notification message on top that reads “firstname.lastname@example.org is no longer verified by Google.
Please verify the address or select a different email address”.
Email in this case is the email address of the user logging into the webmaster tools.
The email address shown on top and in the notification area is email@example.com and not a gmail.com address.
Several webmasters have noticed the issue and posted a support request on Google’s Webmaster Central help forum.
John Mu, a Google employee has forwarded the issue to the Google Webmaster team.
We guess that it has something to do with the internal switching of email addresses from google.com to googlemail.com for those users.
No negative side effect seems come out of this as far as we can tell.
According to the post, it is enough to switch to “don’t forward messages” and then back to “forward to @gmail.com” to resolve the issue and make the notification go away in Webmaster Tools.
