The small village of Kingston is off the beaten track by the south Devon coast.
It’s a 25-minute walk down to Wonwell Beach at the mouth of the River Erme – walk along the South West Coast Path or at low tide you can walk back up the riverbed.

Three miles away, the Oyster Shack at Bigbury is a highlight for foodies, and the closest main town is Modbury where you’ll find two pubs, an independent butcher, deli, gift shops and all the essentials.
The nearest train station is at Totnes, a 35-minute drive away.

Breakfast is served in the open-plan kitchen and owners Jeeva and Simon are very accommodating and happy to advise with local recommendations from favourite coastal walks to best places to eat out.
Parking Pool Wi-Fi
Hydrangea Room from £155, Pondicherry Room from £145, year-round.
