Football news – Paper Round: Manchester United eye huge new David De Gea deal, target £50m SessegnonEurosport UK #De_GeaFebruary 11, 2019
Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea is closing in on a new deal at Old Trafford, according to the Mirror.
The paper reports that he wants £350,000 a week, which would make him the second-highest player at the club after Alexis Sanchez, who is on £400,000 a week.

Tottenham Hotspur are concerned they will lose out on Adrien Rabiot, reports the Star.
The Paris Saint-Germain midfielder looked set for a £20 million deal to London before the end of the winter transfer window, but the death of his father prevented any deal going through.
Paper Round’s view: Rabiot is a fine player, but it is definitely time for him to put in some consistent, improved performances.
Of course, he will need time to recover from the death of his father, but should he make a move to Liverpool or Barcelona, he will find it harder to break into the midfield of either club than if he decides to join Tottenham Hotspur, who have less competition in the middle.

Sessegnon is just 18, though, so he may struggle to get regular minutes on the pitch with Anthony Martial ahead of him in the pecking order at Old Trafford.
Paper Round’s view: Everton claim to want to win trophies, so it is hard to see why they would appoint Bielsa, who has consistently failed to bring in silverware at whichever clubs he manages.
