Real Madrid’s Stance On Brahim Diaz Has Changed Three Weeks After SigningSPORTbible #Days_AgoFebruary 11, 2019
Brahim Diaz got his dream move to Real Madrid earlier this month, signing a contract until 2025 following a £22 million move from Manchester City.
Although he won a Premier League winners’ medal after making the required five appearances in City’s incredible 100 points campaign last term, Diaz only played a total of 15 senior games and returned to Spain with the aim of getting more game-time.
Spanish outlet MARCA reported that Real saw him as a first-team player but Diaz has only played 24 minutes so far, with cameos against Leganes in the Copa Del Rey as well as a substitute appearance in the league against Real Betis.
He was an unused sub against Sevilla and Girona and didn’t make the squad at all in the 4-2 win over Espanyol at the weekend, as well as being overlooked again in Thursday night’s quarter final.
And it’s now being said that Real are considering loaning him out because they don’t feel he’s quite ready to be a regular at this point.
With the likes of Marco Asensio, Lucas Vazquez, Gareth Bale, Vinicius Junior and even Isco playing in a similar position to him, it’s no wonder he’s not slotted straight into the side and so a loan to a decent top-half La Liga side might be just what he needs.
Will Diaz make the breakthrough at Real in time?
