The district administration has invited applications from eligible local candidates in the age group of 21 to 35 years as on July 1, 2014, for the post of ‘e-District Manager’, under eDistrict Fellowship Programme for District eGovernance Society, Erode district.
Candidates holding either of these qualifications: B.E./B.Tech, M.C.A./M.Sc., in Computer Science, Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Information Communication Technology, and Software Engineering, with consistent academic record of 60 per cent aggregate and above from SSLC onwards are eligible to apply for the post entailing a stipend of Rs.
23,500 per month (with 10 per cent increment every year).
Initially for one year, the period of contract will be extended on year-to-year basis for two more years.
Fifty per cent weightage points is given for the aggregate scores at each stage, and the rest will be based on their score in a two-hour online examination with 100 multiple choice questions covering ‘Basics of computers’, ‘basic programming in C/ C+ +/ Java’, ‘networking’, ‘internet technologies’, ‘hardware’, ‘database management systems and related areas’, and ‘recent developments’, on November 15.
Aspiring candidates can download applications from the district’s official website: www.erode.tn.nic.in, and submit the filled-in ones along with self-attested copies of the mark sheets and certificates.
The envelope in which applications are required to be sent to the District Collector, Erode District, by November 5, must be superscribed ‘Application for the Post of eDistrict Manager under eDistrict Fellowship Programme’.
The list of eligible candidates will be published on November 7 in the official website, and the venue and timing will be made known by November 12, the release said.
