Zac Efron Goes “Off The Grid” at First You-Tube videos #Zac_EfronApril 1, 2019
In January 2006, we met 18-year-old Zac Efron.
He was the head jock at a made-up high school where everyone sings and the concept of camp in film was taken to a whole new level.
We knew and loved that Zac Efron, but time has gone on.
Now, we have 31-year-old Zac Efron: vlogger.
This morning, Efron released the first video, “Off the Grid,” for his YouTube channel.
In the video, Efron, his brother, Dylan, and their friends visited Lake Mohave, a reservoir along the Colorado River, along the border of Nevada and Arizona.
They spent four days “off the grid” except, of course, to document their trip with a camera.
Then, we see them taking off on a speedy boat across the lake, feeding a wild donkey who joins them in the water, and plunging into the deep water from a cliff.
We also learn Efron’s theory for camping in the wilderness, which is, quite simply, “Just because we’re off the grid doesn’t mean we can’t drink.”
It’s not clear if all of Efron’s videos will be adventurous mini-documentaries like this one, or if we will one day be seeing more than just a bunch of happy men in their early thirties letting their bodies burn in the hot desert sun.
